Welcome to this blog post, where I dive deeper into the Sacral Chakra and her connection to your body, emotions, and overall well-being. Here, you’ll find detailed information about the Sacral Chakra’s relationship with major endocrine gland, specific body parts, and her emotional influence. You’ll also discover practical steps you can take to heal and restore balance to areas where you feel hurt or blocked.
Throughout this post, you’ll read both ‘Sacral Chakra’ and ‘Svadhistana’—these terms mean exactly the same thing. Svadhistana is the Sanskrit word for Sacral. Sanskrit is the ancient sacred language of India, used in spiritual texts and practices for thousands of years. Many chakra names come from Sanskrit because this energy system originated in ancient Indian spiritual traditions.
Understanding Your Sacral Chakra Foundation

Major Endocrine Gland: Ovaries/Testes.
Location: Slightly above the genitals.
Emotional Influence: Passion, joy, creativity.
Imbalance Symptoms: Emotional instability, creative blocks, or sexual dysfunction, guilt, anger
Physical: Pelvic floor, hips.
Color: Orange.
The Role of Your Sacral Chakra in Life and Love
When your Svadhistana Chakra is flowing freely, you experience deep passion for life, creative inspiration, and healthy intimate connections. This energy center plays a vital role in how we connect with others and ourselves.
Now I want you to ask yourself something important: do I have pleasure? And do I have sexual pleasure? We need to have both for a healthy and happy life. Having one but not the other, something will be missing. People are made to be with another, not to live in solitude. People are created to share, give and receive love. Those who have chosen a life in solitude, in love for God, have probably found the love they need and seek. But still, also there I have come across quite some “spiritual” teachers and monks who have had hard times by being alone.
But what happens when this Chakra energy becomes blocked?
Signs Your Sacral Chakra Needs Healing
When Guilt and Anger Take Over
Who hasn’t felt guilt or anger at some point in their life? Anger at life’s challenges, guilt about past actions —or even anger directed at oneself for the guilt that’s been suppressed. It’s often easier to slip into anger than to acknowledge guilt. Imagine confessing guilt —it’s a daunting task for many. Instead, they may choose anger, shifting blame onto someone else rather than taking responsibility and admitting a mistake.
But how is your body responding to these emotions? How are your hips? Your ovaries, testicles, prostate, or uterus? The primary endocrine glands in this area —the ovaries and testes— can suffer when guilt is present, with anger often taking its place. This is exactly what happens in your Svadhistana Chakra.

Guilt can arise from many situations when your Svadhistana is affected. Maybe you haven’t done something someone expected from you or you’ve done something that hurt another person. Guilt is not limited to passion relationships, but it is tied to love in general. This can include relationships with a partner, but also with siblings, parents, grandparents, or other loved ones. Perhaps you’ve been unfaithful —not necessarily in a romantic sense, but by betraying someone’s trust.
Take the example of a woman who decides to have an abortion. From the mind (or ego), there might be no guilt —logical justifications may keep it at bay. But on a deeper level, from the higher self, guilt can linger in the Svadhistana Chakra, creating an energetic weight.
Do I have passion in life? Yes. Then ask: Do I have joy in life? No? When there is passion but no joy —there is no true fulfillment.

When there is no passion/joy, ask yourself: Do I have anger or guilt?
If you feel anger, explore what might be pushing you to suppress guilt. Is it pride? Ego?
What I See in Healing Sessions
I recall working with a woman where this interplay of guilt and anger became clear in her energy center. The moment I saw her, a feeling arose. When I placed my hands on her, I sensed guilt —an unspoken burden. It became clear she carried pain about her relationships. As I continued, I encountered blockages in her hips, ovary, and uterus. Again, guilt surfaced, but it was entangled with anger: guilt toward her situation, and anger toward the whole thing —toward life and the pain she carried.
In cases like hers, the question arises: where does this come from? Often, childhood experiences leave their mark in our Chakra. The energy of family members from her past came forward, linked to difficult experiences from her younger years.
Relationships of all kinds can leave deep imprints when there is guilt or unresolved pain. I’ve often seen that people who have experienced difficult relationships as children may unconsciously carry patterns into adulthood through their Svadhistana. These patterns can manifest as behaviors or choices that reflect unresolved pain. For this woman, there was no conscious guilt in her current life, as her mind shielded her from fully accessing her feelings. But there was anger, rooted in her earlier experiences and held deep in this energy center.
Now, you might wonder: do I share these realizations with the person during the session? The answer is no. I don’t directly tell someone what I sense in their energy field. Instead, I might ask, “what can you remember from that age?” or “how is your relationship with [this person]?” Healing is a process, and when the person is ready, the messages will come to them.
It’s important to understand that not all issues stem from this lifetime. Sometimes, unresolved emotions and experiences from past lives can leave an imprint on the Svadhistana, influencing the present.
Unfortunately, not everyone is ready to see or acknowledge these messages coming from their Sacral Chakra. Their higher self may be prepared, but their ego takes over, running from the truth. This avoidance can persist until they reach a point where they are willing to face and heal these wounds.

Healing Your Chakra: Where to Begin
The First Step: Acknowledgment
The first step toward healing your Chakra is acknowledgment —facing the discomfort of guilt and anger rather than turning away from it. It’s not about perfection but about progress —a small step in the right direction can lead to profound change in your Sacral Chakra.
The Root Connection: Where Chakra Healing Really Begins
Here’s something important I want you to understand: all problems that result in the Sacral Chakra actually come from the first chakra – the Muladhara Chakra or Root Chakra. This chakra stands for safety and security. When we do not feel safe we might experience fear, and when there is fear, the path to guilt and anger is lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike.
Grounding Meditation: Your Foundation Practice
Instead, when we start doing grounding meditation, we learn to ground energetically. This will have an impact on the energy body that will have an effect on the physical body that will help us see life and issues differently. Doing this meditation is not just do it once and done – it should become a part of our life day in day out in order to prevent staying away from the ailments we can come across with.
When the root is not good, no other chakra above will be good.
If what I’ve shared about Sacral Chakra patterns resonates with you – the guilt, anger, or creative blocks – know that healing is possible. Sometimes we need support to see what we can’t see ourselves.
