How 40 years of personal transformation shaped the practice that helps you heal
“I spent years trying to understand why I felt things other people didn’t — until I stopped running from it and started using it to help others.”
— David Stojanović
Welcome to Metta Holistic Support.
This is the story of David Stojanović and the personal journey that led him to create Metta Healing.
From a young age, David was sensitive to energy in a way he could not explain. He assumed that everyone experienced, saw, and felt the same things he did. For years, he tried to understand how other people seemed to fit in so easily when it felt so difficult for him. He followed their lead, hoping it would help him feel normal.
It was only later in life that David understood that his experience was far from common. When he placed his hands on people, they sometimes felt something he could not yet explain. This early sensitivity—the very quality that once made him feel like an outsider—is what now allows him to sense imbalances that people often struggle to express in words.

David’s work isn’t based on textbook theory — it is rooted in real-life transformation. Having personally walked through and overcome years of deep addictions and emotional struggles, David understands the exact weight of what his clients are carrying. His method was born out of his own journey back to wholeness.
These formative years revealed both the heavy limitations of avoidance and the profound consequences of disconnecting from his natural gift. They ultimately taught him his most important lessons about surrender, self-acceptance, and true healing.
His path has always been guided by spirit. In 2007, he sat in meditation for the first time, and by 2008, yoga entered his life. These practices opened a vital doorway into stillness, self-reflection, and a deeper connection with energy.
By 2012, he transitioned from real estate to the justice department. However, it wasn’t his professional career that truly defined him. David began to release habits and illusions that no longer served his true self. From then on, his life became less about external roles and more about dedicated inner practice.

Energy healing and spirituality have always been an intrinsic part of who he is. Even before he consciously understood it, people would leave his presence feeling lighter and restored. It wasn’t until 2015 that he became fully conscious of what he was offering and chose to refine it into a clear practice of guiding, supporting, and holding space for transformation.
It became clear that his gift was never to follow rigid, predefined methods, but to trust intuition. This meant allowing energy to flow freely, recognizing the body’s innate intelligence, and naturally guiding transformation. This principle remains central to the practice he now shares with others.
What began as a search for his own relief has unfolded into a lifelong devotion to spiritual practice, remembrance, and service. This was the true foundation of Metta Healing.
This is why every session he offers today follows no script — because your body’s intelligence, not a textbook, guides the healing.
For a long time, David did not have a name for what he was doing. He simply knew that he felt compelled to place his hands on people—sometimes on their back, knees, or head. He did not know exactly what was happening; he only knew that people often felt better afterwards. When they asked what they were feeling, he would simply say, “You feel my love.”
The turning point came at the former Orion Retreat on Koh Samui (now Anahata Samui). When the owner, Simon Belcher, asked what David offered, he first called it “energy healing.” Simon replied that everything is energy healing. David tried “Reiki,” and Simon shook his head, saying, “This is not Reiki; this is something more.”
When Simon again asked David what he called his practice, David knew in his heart that it was rooted in love. However, he also understood that “love” was not the right name to present to the world. Love can be interpreted in many ways that didn’t fit the healing space he was providing. David chose the word Metta because it captured the essence of that love in its purest, most universal form.
This word had been with him for years through his dedicated Vipassana meditation retreats:
In the ancient Pali language, Metta means “Loving-Kindness.” It is the unconditional wish for another being to be well—a universal frequency that is both safe and deeply healing. It perfectly honors the origin of the feeling—pure love—while grounding it in a lifetime of spiritual discipline.

Through all of this — the childhood sensitivity, the years of running, the meditation, the practice — he has come to understand one thing clearly: healing begins with energy. Not as a concept, but as a felt reality. When the energy that has been blocked, buried, or ignored is finally allowed to flow again, the body doesn’t just recover. It remembers who it was before the hurt.
If something on this page resonates—if you recognise parts of your own experience in David’s story—then perhaps this is where your healing journey begins.
