Energy healing facilitator vs healer

Why an authentic healing facilitator empowers you to heal yourself rather than claiming to heal you

As an energetic healing facilitator, I’ve learned one of the most important truths in this field: I cannot heal you. Only you can heal yourself. This realization transformed not just how I work, but how I understand the entire healing process. If you’ve been searching for someone to “fix” you, this perspective might challenge everything you think you know about bioenergy healing.

Why I Transformed from Healer to Energy Healing Facilitator

When I Called Myself a Healer: The Ego Trap

When I accepted myself for who I am, I said: I am a healer – or what I now know should be called an energetic healing facilitator. My ego was sky high when I saw what people were experiencing, especially after our healing sessions when they would talk about what happened. I would be like, look what I have done with this energy work. Look at me. And then when a person would come where not much would happen, my ego would be hurt and I would blame it on the other.

This ego-driven approach is what separates a bioenergy healing practitioner from someone who claims to be a healer. The difference isn’t just in terminology – it’s in understanding the fundamental truth about how healing actually works.

Early Signs of Healing Abilities

Throughout the years, I have been working on myself to understand my intuitive abilities. How they work and why I have them. Already at a young age, energy sensitivity allowed me to see, feel, hear and smell things that many others around me could not.

What I didn’t realize then was that these were psychic gifts – I thought everyone experienced the world this way. I remember my father coming to me and saying, don’t be afraid it is ok.

I didn’t know much at that time, and thought he was telling me not to be afraid of the man who was standing in my room, he looked so different. Then I said to my mother about the people in the room and she would get terrified, scared. My dad came again, and would say, I know – don’t be scared, just don’t talk with your mother about what you see.

How I Discovered My Role as an Healing Facilitator

But only later at an older age I understood that when I would lay my hands on people, they would ask me – what is this that I feel? I seriously did not know what they were feeling and thought they felt my love. As I saw more friends and family hugging. But I did realize that I would place my hand with one person on the leg, the other on the back, another around the shoulder, another on the head. Some would close their eyes and say they see colors. All I saw like a joke as I had problems understanding that it was not common when I touched or someone else would touch.

Why Energy Healing Failed When My Ego Was Involved

Fast forward…. Years later when I started offering my gift professionally at different resorts, guests would talk about the energy healing transformation they experienced, saying it was different than anything else they had tried. I would always be like, look what I did. That was me. That is I.

I needed many lessons and experiences to understand that true energy healing transformation wasn’t about me. I did not do anything. This holistic healing approach only works when the person I work with is ready for change. Ready for transformation in their life. When a person is ready to embrace personal responsibility in healing – to take responsibility for their life and health and commit to change – only then can an healing practitioner help facilitate their journey.

What Does “Ready for Change” Actually Look Like?

Someone who is ready for healing will make changes in their life. This can be in the sense of changing the environment they are in. If surrounded with people with whom they will do certain things that are health-wise not good for them, they will conquer being alone and stay away from people and places where they would do things that harm their healing journey.

Or when they have unspoken words to a person in particular, they will work on how to start talking to that person. For example, they will first write a letter as I have mentioned in my other blog about healing the throat chakra and speaking truth.

Someone who is not ready for this change will stay away from taking responsibility  in their life and will keep living as they do live. As an energy provider, energy and insights can be shared, but transformation cannot be forced on someone who isn’t willing to make the necessary life changes.

Some people know they need to make changes to make their life better, but when they are all the time surrounded with people, they tend to stay to keep doing the same because otherwise they might end up alone. Being alone is quite uncomfortable for many people. But when they would know that their wounds need to be healed by them alone, some will stay where they are and others will make the change that is needed.

So when you want to heal, you have to ask yourself: am I ready for the change? When you’re not, keep living the life you have and do not waste your time and money on something that you don’t want to change.

Working Through Fear of Change: Practical Tools

When you know that fear is arising, or maybe insecurity, or maybe even anxiety for the change that might come, I would recommend you to do grounding – this will help you lower your fear and take away insecurity that are path to anxiety. And accordingly practice mindfulness, to stay in the present moment to prevent your mind from going in the past or the future.

The past is a memory, and the future is a non-existing story that only happens in your head and you can re-experience throughout your body, mainly in your abdomen and lower back. That can lead to digestive issues. As an bioenergy healing facilitator, this mind-body connection appears constantly in the work.

What People Experience with This Healing Facilitator Approach

When learning how to choose an healing facilitator, these experiences show what to look for.

“David is a healer. He has something special that I have never ever seen in my life. I am very spiritual into reiki and meditation and have met different spiritual people throughout my life.. but what David made me feel was something extraordinary. I feel blessed that our roads connected and believe me if your roads connect with David you will understand what I am trying to say.

David has something in his aura that only when you meet him in person you will understand. I remember our first session when I just looked at him in the eyes and I was starting to cry I just felt that all my pain was starting to be released. Honestly if you have the chance to have a session with him don’t think twice!”

– Chrystal Michael, Cyprus 2023

“In the two decades which I have worked with healers and holistic practitioners, both personally and professionally, I have experienced a lot of energy healing modalities and have also become very selective of who I invite into my space to share healing with me. So far, I have had two Metta Healing sessions with David and have referred many clients to him. I will continue to have sessions with him in the future.

I find David very intuitive and always has a very clear presence. I also very much appreciate the insight and feedback David shares at the end of a session. His healing gift is truly unique. I feel immensely blessed to have Metta Healing available to me as it has helped facilitate the transmutation and healing of my bodies in very profound ways. My deepest gratitude.”

Energy Healing Facilitator - are you ready to heal? Are you ready to change?

From Healer to Healing Facilitator: The Transformation

Understanding the difference between energy facilitator vs healer changed everything for me.

So I was asking myself how can I translate it in a better way as I do now. How to call what I do if I am not a traditional energetic healing practitioner?

And I found myself more at ease with energy healing holistic practitioner. I may be the creator of Metta Healing, but I am not able to heal anything when the other doesn’t want. Doesn’t matter how strong the energy is. Or whatever journey they will go on when I work with them. The only healer when I work with someone is the person I work with.

True Healing vs Temporary Pain Relief: What Every Energy Healing Facilitator Should Understand

The belief isn’t in only removing pain. Removing pain is not healing. The focus is on permanent healing solutions that transform from the source, so whatever problem they have been carrying around will not return anymore.

This is the key difference in massage therapy vs energy healing facilitation. For removing pain from the body, a person can do a massage. This is not healing – this is temporary pain relief. With better blood circulation, the pain temporarily goes away, but the problem will return. Most likely the person will return for the rest of their life to a massage therapist.

Sustainable healing methods focus on making sure the problem will not return. Working with permanent healing solutions that empower the person. If the issue does resurface, the person you worked with will know how to address it themselves, preventing it from taking over their life again.

How an Authentic Healing Facilitator Really Works

Therefore I rather say, I am an energy healing facilitator, or in my case: Metta Healing Facilitator. I share energy with you through energy amplification, yet you heal yourself using your own innate self-healing techniques. You are the receiver, I am the amplifier, and the energy is the frequency that supports your healing empowerment.

So what does an healing practitioner do exactly?

You can see them as a firefighter. You call them to take down the fire, they do. But before they leave, they teach you self-healing techniques – don’t add burning material to it, don’t open doors or windows that allow oxygen in to flare it up again. Through this healing empowerment approach, the choice becomes yours how you will handle what gets addressed together. This is the same way it goes with true healing. To heal, you must be willing to make the change and take control of your own healing empowerment journey.

An experienced energy holistic practitioner understands that their role is to create the optimal conditions for your own healing to occur, not to impose healing upon you.

What Makes This Healing Facilitator Approach Unique

The difference with other practices such as reiki, craniosacral, EFT, theta healing, and similar modalities is that during a healing session I only use my hands, my breath, my eyes and focus. I don’t use crystals or any other help elements. I connect with your subconscious mind by touch, but also by just looking at you. Some people think I need to touch so I can feel, which is not true. Your subconscious mind is expressing itself already via your body.

I don’t use symbols – I give and take energy. I give what you need and I take what is hurting you. It might happen that after a session I have your pain, but I release it my way when you leave. How that goes is my way, that I keep to myself.

This direct energy exchange is what makes Metta Healing different from other healing facilitation methods. It’s a pure connection between your subconscious healing wisdom and the amplified energy field I provide.

Root Cause Healing: Why Surface Treatments Don’t Work for Energy Facilitators

To fire a gun, we need a bullet, a hammer, and a trigger. The trigger is the emotion, the hammer is the experience that causes the pain, and the bullet is the pain itself. This is how trauma healing works – we must address all three components.

When you remove or heal the emotion from the past through emotional healing, which is the root cause, you will be able to heal or remove the bullet because the hammer will not be used anymore. Holistic healing methods focus on this complete approach – addressing the emotional trigger, not just the surface pain.

So when you have experienced true emotional healing and trauma healing, the previously stored emotion will not resurface in the next chapter of your life, and the bullet will not be triggered anymore. This is why holistic healing methods that address the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – create lasting transformation.

Living as an Energy Healing Facilitator: I’m Human Too

Even when I share with clients how problems in relation to experiences, happenings or people can be recognized, does it mean my life is pain-free, always high in energy, or do I also experience pain or feeling lower? Sure I do, and that is normal. I am no robot who doesn’t have feelings.

When pain arises, I ask myself: why do I have pain there? What was my experience, with who? By recognizing the problems, it becomes easier in understanding where the root lies in order to heal. Life is suffering – it goes up and down. In general we have more ups than downs, but unfortunately some people will not appreciate the little downs and will say or think it is always down, which it is not.

I hear sometimes that life should not be suffering. I don’t agree with that, because those sufferings teach us how to grow and become stronger. Even when we get sick due to flu, we suffer. Aging, we suffer. Physical, emotional, mental pain is also suffering. That is life. And we have to learn how to create our days to be better.

Next time when you think or say, “I wish this day to be over,” then ask yourself: why do you say life is short? When life is short, why do you want your day to be over?

The weather is not always up either. One day it rains, another sun, another wind. Also my 5 cats are not every day the same! This is the natural rhythm of life that even an energy facilitator must navigate.

The role of a facilitator on Koh Phangan – Thailand and distance sessions, my commitment is to help you access your own innate healing wisdom, not to create dependency on external healing sources. I walk this path alongside you, not above you.

Ready to explore but you still have questions or doubts and want clarity?

You can also book a discovery call on either the in-person healing page or distance healing session page. I am here to reply to your questions. If you need to be convinced of what you should do for healing, you are at the wrong address with me. As I don’t like being convinced myself by anything or anyone. It must feel good for you – convincing doesn’t work.
