Life is A Journey
Beyond Boundaries: A Path to Soul Connection and Understanding
From as early as I can remember, I felt that my path in life was meant to be different. Born into a Serbian Orthodox family, I grew up surrounded by the teachings of Orthodox Christianity – God, Jesus, and the rituals of the Orthodox Church. My parents gave me their faith as a foundation, and while I respected it deeply, something inside me whispered that there was more.
I felt called toward a truth beyond what was written in books or spoken in sermons.
That was the beginning of my spiritual journey, a path that kept unfolding in unexpected ways to learn my life purpose.
Early Glimpses: Seeing the Unseen
At just four or five years old, I started noticing things that others around me didn’t. Spirits, energies, and presences filled the room like an invisible tapestry only I could see. It wasn’t frightening; it felt natural, as if life itself was revealing another layer to me.
I remember placing my small hands over my body, and suddenly, pain would fade away. It was as though energy itself was moving through me, dissolving discomfort and leaving calm in its place. Over time, this flow extended to others—I could bring them peace, balance, and comfort simply by being a channel. I’ve always seen this not as something I “own” but as a sacred gift from the source of all creation.
Looking back, I now see this gift as a form of holistic therapy, working with both body and spirit in harmony.
This spiritual gift quietly shaped my journey, even before I understood what it meant.
Unlike Reiki, where symbols are used, I never needed them. My approach was—and still is—more instinctive. I simply follow the pull of energy, going straight to the root of what needs release, and offering relief. It’s less about technique and more about surrender, trust, and deep soul connection.
Through these early experiences, my spiritual growth began to unfold, long before I had words to explain it.
Like a river naturally finding its way to the ocean, this gift has shaped my spiritual journey of healing and growth, carrying me into deeper waters of understanding.
Every step of this spiritual journey has revealed more about who I am and what connects us all
Just as the river flows naturally toward the ocean, our spiritual journey guides us toward unity, spiritual healing, and a deeper understanding of ourselves.
A Childhood Drawn to Nature and Animals
Since I was very young, I’ve been drawn to animals and the natural world without fully knowing why. I would touch plants gently, whisper to them, and offer them love, as though they were dear friends. It felt instinctive—like they understood.
One moment in particular stands out. I was with my girlfriend, tending to a plant her parents had owned for over 20 years. I stroked its leaves and spoke to it softly, sending it warmth. She laughed and said, “You should be giving that love to me, not the plant.”
I smiled and replied, “By giving it love, the plant will give something back to us.”
She shook her head. “What can it give? My parents have had it for two decades, and it’s never given anything—just green leaves.”
A week or two later, something extraordinary happened. A small white tip appeared on the plant. She stared at it, bewildered. “What is that?”
I told her, “It’s going to give us white flowers.”
She protested, “That’s impossible. My parents have had it for so long and never seen anything like this. I’ve had it for years—nothing.”
But then the flowers came—white, delicate, and alive with quiet beauty. She was stunned. She began to speak kindly to the plant herself, giving it the same attention and affection. More white flowers appeared.
She shared the story with her mother, who at first laughed in disbelief. Yet even she began to give love to the plant—and again, it responded with blooms.
Have you ever noticed how pets, plants, or even people brighten when you give them attention and love? Life has a way of responding when we choose to nurture it.
This all happened before I had fully accepted the gifts I was born with. Only later, when I finally embraced my abilities, did I begin to understand myself more deeply. I started to hear and see visions from an older past, reaching back to my ancestors. Slowly, everything began to make sense.
With each vision, I felt another step forward in my spiritual growth.
Through that experience, I learned something profound: Love is not meant only for ourselves or the people closest to us. It’s meant for everyone and everything—animals, birds, insects, plants, even stones.
Crystals, for instance, can feel pleasant to the touch because they hold energy. When we give them our love and intention, they often give back, helping us release more than we realize. It’s a quiet exchange, a mutual honoring of life.
That experience deepened my spiritual journey, teaching me that love is not limited to people but extends to all of creation.
Learning When Not to Offer Help
For a long time, I thought helping others meant stepping in whenever I noticed their pain. If I sensed discomfort, I wanted to remove it. If I saw a truth hidden behind their eyes, I wanted to reveal it. But I quickly learned this wasn’t the way.
Offering spiritual healing or guidance to someone who hasn’t asked for it can feel like intrusion, even if the intention is love. Maybe you’ve experienced this too—when advice you didn’t ask for only made you feel more distant, even if it came from someone who cared. It’s something many of us learn the hard way. I once believed I was bringing comfort, but often, my help was met with resistance or even frustration.
It took years of reflection to understand why: true spiritual healing can never be forced. A person must open the door themselves. Without consent, even the purest offering of light can feel like a burden.
Now, I wait. I don’t offer unless asked. I don’t share my spiritual beliefs unless someone sincerely wants to know. This shift has transformed my relationships—it has built mutual respect, deepened soul connections, and taught me the profound wisdom of patience.
And perhaps most importantly, it reminded me that love is rooted in respect. Respect for another’s boundaries. Respect for their pace. Respect for the uniqueness of their journey life.
Religion, Spirituality, and the Bigger Picture
Have you ever paused to consider just how long humans have walked this earth? More than 300,000 years. And yet, the religions we know today are much younger—Hinduism being the oldest, while Christianity is barely 2,000 years old.
This doesn’t make them “less true.” But it does raise a question: why do so many claim their religion is the only truth, when humanity has sought the divine in countless ways across time?
Look closely, and you’ll see threads that connect them all. Bowing in reverence, for example, exists in Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The gestures may differ, but the essence—the longing to honor something greater—is the same.

From a young age, I was fascinated by gods and goddesses, even though my family urged me to believe in only one God. As I grew older, I explored Buddhism, and later I felt a strong pull to my Celtic roots—where the sacred was woven into nature itself. And in truth, I feel more at home in forests, rivers, and mountains than within any building built by human hands.
Nature has always been my teacher, a conscious living scripture, healing me, guiding me deeper into my spiritual journey of healing and growth.
Nature has been the greatest teacher in my spiritual journey and spiritual growth, offering lessons no book could contain.
A Turning Point Through Loss
In 2007, my life journey shifted when my younger sister, Dijana, passed away suddenly. That kind of loss changes you—it cracks you open in places you didn’t know existed.
Her passing shattered me in ways I still cannot fully describe. For a long time, I carried questions, anger, and deep sorrow. Yet even in that pain, I felt the faintest whisper of soul connection – like she was still near, guiding me in silence.
For a time, I leaned heavily into the Serbian Orthodox faith, clinging to prayer, ritual, and weekly visits to church. I even considered becoming a monk, retreating from the world altogether.
During a stay at Hilandar Monastery on Mount Athos, I met a silent monk who spoke only a handful of words to me:
“You are meant to live in the world, not retreat from it. You are meant to help people.”
At the time, I didn’t fully grasp the weight of his words. I longed for the simplicity of monastery life. But years later, when I embraced the gift I had carried since childhood, his message came alive. Helping others didn’t mean withdrawing—it meant being fully present in this messy, beautiful, complicated world.
That moment marked a turning point. It became a cornerstone of my journey, reminding me that our purpose isn’t always to escape pain, but to walk alongside others as they find their way back to balance.
Losing my sister reshaped my spiritual journey, filling it with both grief and greater compassion.
Vulnerability, Growth, and the Power of Energy
There were times when I felt lost. Times when the ground beneath me seemed to crumble. And yet, those were the very moments I grew most.
Vulnerability, I’ve learned, is not weakness—it’s a doorway. By allowing myself to sit in discomfort, I discovered compassion, both for myself and for others.
And through it all, one truth has become clear: the energy that flows through me is not “mine.” It is universal. It carries no label, no religion, no boundary. It is the same life force that connects us all—reminding us that we are never separate, but always one.
Recognizing this oneness is at the heart of spiritual growth
A Closing Reflection
No matter what faith or practice we follow, we are all seekers. We seek love, peace, and soul connection. And when we look past the walls we build—religion, culture, belief—we find that we are far more alike than different.
My hope is simple: that by sharing my story, I can inspire you to reconnect with your true self, to explore your own spiritual journey, and to remember that you are never alone on this path
Whether we ever meet or not, my wish is that you remember this: love and respect are always within reach. Even a simple act of kindness—to yourself, to another, to the earth—can shift the world around you. The path always begins with openness and trust.
As I continue walking my own spiritual journey, I invite you to reflect: What has your own spiritual journey revealed to you?
