Welcome to this blog post, where I dive deeper into the crown chakra and her connection to your body, emotions, and overall well-being. Here, you’ll find detailed information about the Sahasrara chakra’s relationship with major endocrine gland, specific body parts, and her emotional influence. You’ll also discover practical steps you can take to heal and restore balance to areas where you feel hurt or blocked.
Throughout this post, you’ll read both ‘Sahasrara’ and ‘Crown Chakra’—these terms mean exactly the same thing. Sahasrara is the Sanskrit word for crown. Sanskrit is the ancient sacred language of India, used in spiritual texts and practices for thousands of years. Many chakra names come from Sanskrit because this energy system originated in ancient Indian spiritual traditions.
Major Endocrine Gland: Pituitary Gland.
Location: Top of the head.
Emotional Influence: Spiritual connection and higher consciousness.
Imbalance Symptoms: Issues with control over people, attachment to earthly matters, disconnection from spirituality, dementia, confusion, or a lack of purpose, greed.
Physical: overweight, obesitas, bulimia, losing control over self.
Color: Gold and white.

Understanding the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara Chakra) in Depth
I hear people regularly ask or tell me, “I want to connect to the universe,” or “How do I connect with God? I want to activate my crown chakra.” I wonder, why do you prefer connecting yourself up while you are not yet connected down? What is more important—to be connected to the universe or to be grounded?
Many people will say that grounding is of lesser importance. I do not agree with that. Above all, you have a human experience, therefore you must be connected first down here before you connect up there. Without good grounding, people tend to live in fear or insecurity. This will lead the crown chakra to block—some people become over-controlling, others struggle with weight, and some have too many earthly attachments. When you understand the importance of being connected down on Earth and do the work, you will graduate and you might or will achieve the connection you wish to get.
For many, this 7th chakra holds great importance as it connects us with the Universe, God, Source, or whatever higher power you believe in. Unlike the other chakras, this chakra is not located on the body but slightly above the head, and it is associated with the pituitary gland.
During Metta Healing sessions, I work on healing your chakras and balancing them, including this vital 7th chakra connection.
When we live with a strong need to control others or hold on to earthly attachments—such as material possessions or wealth—our sahasrara chakra tends to close. This creates a barrier to connecting with higher energies through this chakra. I often hear people say they want to connect “up there,” but the real question is: how can you connect “up there” if you struggle to connect “down here”?
The foundation of sahasrara chakra connection begins with being grounded on Earth, where you live. Grounding is the first essential step for sahasrara chakra healing. Without it, you risk becoming disconnected, living too much in your head, and feeling unbalanced—what some might describe as being “airy.”

Sahasrara Chakra Balance: Finding Harmony Between Earth and Higher Energies
People who focus solely on the upper connection through their sahasrara chakra often attempt to control life itself. However, true chakra harmony comes from grounding first. When you ground yourself, you can connect with higher energies through your sahasrara more easily and naturally.
Attempting to control others or life often leads to losing control of yourself. This imbalance can manifest in physical challenges, such as difficulties with metabolism, weight issues, or hormonal imbalances, as the pituitary gland —known as the “king of the glands”— is impacted by crown chakra disruption.
It’s important to note that not every person who struggles with weight has control issues. However, if someone has done everything possible to lose weight —such as changing their diet, exercising regularly, avoiding late-night eating— but still cannot shed pounds or continues to gain, it may be worth examining whether the need to control others is playing a role in their sahasrara chakra blockage. Addressing this internal aspect could help uncover the root cause of the challenge.
Instead of trying to control, let go. Surrender to life’s flow, allow fear to dissipate, and trust the process—this is the path to crown chakra healing.
How to Heal Your Sahasrara Chakra: Practical Steps for Sahasrara Balance
Start with grounding. The better you are grounded, the less you will experience fear in your life. And the less need of how to be in control over others and the less need of how you have to have earthly attachments. Once you’re grounded, you will understand that you cannot lose anything that belongs to you. And what you do lose, is not yours and has never been yours.
True spiritual awakening comes from being busy with yourself. Before you say no, ask yourself how would you react when someone would say that to you when the roles would be in different way. Be busy with yourself, instead of trying to understand others, try to understand yourself. Why do you do what you do.
This foundational understanding is essential for chakra healing. When your sahasrara opens through proper grounding, the desperate need to control dissolves naturally.

Steps to Sahasrara Chakra Connection and Healing
There is a process to fully connect with higher energies through your crown chakra, starting with grounding. As the saying goes, as above, so below. Once you have established a strong connection to the earth, I can guide you on how to protect yourself from unwanted energies. Only then will your sahasrara chakra be ready to connect with higher energies in a balanced and protected way.
I do have a meditation for activation of the 7th chakra. However, I only share this with people where I have seen they have done the grounding meditation. Even when they say ‘I have done the grounding,’ I always ask them: What have you experienced? What have you seen? What have you felt? When I get answers to these questions and I see they have truly done the work, there is still a step in between that I share—on how to protect themselves and their energy. When I see and hear their answers, only then will I proceed and share how they can activate their chakra.
Are you ready to take the first step toward grounding and crown chakra connection? Let’s begin this transformative sahasrara chakra healing journey together.
